The Wild Flowers of Mountain Temperate
Forest Region
In the temperate forests or forest gaps at 2800~3600 m
alt. Of south Himalayas and southeast Tibet, there are also
some pretty flowers, especially some white flowered and
red fruited ones.
The species are: Cotoneaster spp., Sorbus spp., Rosa spp.,
Lonicera spp., Berberis spp., Impatiens spp., Gentiana spp.,
Aster spp., Gypripedium spp.; and Iris chrysographes, bluish
purple; Streptopus simplex, white flowered and red fruited;
Clematis montana, white or reddish white; Chamaenerion angustifolium,
purple; Primula florindae, yellow; P. chungensis, orange;
Meconopsis betonicifolia, blue; Lilium wardii, light purple;
Deutzia compacta var. multiradiata, whith or pink; Rhododendron.
Triflorum, reddish; R. faucium, reddish purple; R. bulu,
purple; Pleione scopulorum, purple; Oreorchis folios with
purple flowers.
