Quxu

Quxu means "water stream" in Tibetan languages.

Quxu County is located in the middle south of the Tibet Autonomous Region and the lower reaches of the Lhasa River.

It covers an area of 1,624 squre kilometres, with a population of nealy 320,00.

The main mine resources in the county is corundum, calcareousness, granite and turf, etc.

Agriculture and animal husbandry are main industries in the county. There are 14 small power stations in the county.

There are totally 25 bridges, among which Quxu Bridge, which crosses the Yarlung Zangbo River is one of the key bridges to connect north and south Tibet.
