In 1976, the 22-year-old Li Suzhi graduated from the Second Military Medical University and began his life-long purchase. As he said when he was a child he began to admire the military doctors. He has several experiences of sickness and these memories left him a deep impression. Every time when he saw ill people, he made up his mind to learn the medicine well and cure those sick people. No longer after his graduation, he went to the toughest and harshest place in China, Tibet Autonomous Region and worked there.

I came to Tibet when I was 22 years old and spent 28 years on this high plateau. I realized my value as a doctor in Tibet. Tibet is my hometown and Tibetans are my siblings. For me, any patients are the same, no matter he is Chinese or Tibetan. I love Tibet and I will contribute all my life here to my Tibetan siblings.--Words quoted from Li Suzhi
