Lhasa: beautiful dances and songs

In the morning of February 5th, a celebration performance for Spring Festival and Tibetan Losar was given by Tibet Cultural Department at Zong Jiao Lu Kang Park. The farmers, elder cadres and children in Lhasa city were participated in and presented their performances as well, such as Tibetan drama, Tibetan court music and circle dance. The audiences are from all parts of Lhasa city, the eldest are more than 70 years old. A grandpa, Datri said that he felt very happy and enjoyed this performance very much. The 12-year-old elementary school student, Ngawang Lhazom told reporters that she was very glad to have two performances on stage.

Xigaze: happy Tibetan Losar and Spring Festival

In recently days, the Xigaze citizens welcome their biggest festival with various kinds of celebration activities, such as holding symposium and performing dance and song parties.

Xigaze organized elder cadres and intellectuals to held conferences and to hear their voices on the economic and social constructions. Tarawa Construction Engineering Co., Ltd in Rinbung county donated goods worth 42,900 yuan to the Rinbung Beadhouse and other needy people as the special gifts for Spring Festival. The farmers and herders held song and dance party to pray for the harvest in coming year. At the square of Fudi Department Store, Regional Folk Art Troupe presented two wonderful performances to the local people.

With the coming of Tibetan Losar and Spring Festival, Tibetans celebrate it with all kinds of forms. No matter old or young, man or woman, all of them are delight with the present life and welcome 2005 Tibetan Losar with their hearts contented.
