Forum on China Tibetan Culture kicks off in Katmandu
Jointly sponsored by the China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture, Arniko Society of Nepal and the Chinese Embassy to Nepal, a two-day long Forum on China Tibetan Culture-Katmandu kicked off in Nepali capital Katmandu on December 19 aiming at further promoting cultural understanding and cooperation between the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and Nepal.
Nepal-China cultural ties highlighted
China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture (CAPDTC) and Arniko Society of Nepal, co-sponsored by the embassy of the People's Republic of China, are organising a two-day "Forum on China Tibetan Culture" to further promote cultural understanding and cooperation between the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and Nepal.
About CAPDTC
With the special Consultative Status with Economic and Social Council of UN, China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture (CAPDTC in short) is an non-governmental organization consisting of volunteers both at home and abroad who love Tibetan culture care for its preservation and development.
About China's Tibet
With an average elevation of over 4,000 meters, Tibet is located in the southwest frontier of China. Centuries-old snowy mountains, vast Changtang Grassland, blue lakes and roaring rivers constitute the splendid unique scenery of Tibet.

Focus on Tibetan culture
Tibetan excellent traditional culture originates and develops in the snowy plateau in the Roof of the World, running as the Yarlung Tsangpo River; Tibetan culture is an outcome of centuries-old production and life of ethnic people along with other ethnic groups in Tibet, with rich plateau features and unique cultural characteristics; Tibetan culture is also a result of exchange, mutual learning and absorption with neighboring ethnic groups and areas in the long historic process; Tibetan culture is an important part of Chinese excellent culture treasure and an important impetus for promotion of diversity of the world culture. After the long process of development, Tibetan culture makes great achievements and its unique charm is becoming more and more popular in the world.
