Tibetan writer Tshe dbang Jigs med was born in 1957 and died on October 30, 2004. Prior to his death, one of his works, ＾The Last Yak Squads in Tibet won a national literature prize.
Tshe dbang Jigs med was a herdsman before he became a well-known writer. The experience enriched his career and made him welcomed by local people. His book pictured a real Tibet. They showed readers natural environment, local lifestyle and current living conditions.
